As we recover from the excesses of the festive season and struggle to keep the resolutions we made only a couple of days ago, ‘tis that time of year when we reach for the holiday brochures. Only we don’t any more. Instead we head for the computer to trawl through the on-line sites for that idyllic holiday destination. Here are a few reasons to consider Pembrokeshire this summer:
· Even in high summer it costs no more than just the flights to a nice bit of the Med
· It is half the price, much nearer and far less crowded than the West Country or Lake District. You will be there before the plane has taken off or the car has left the motorway jams
· No eye-watering exchange rates
· Pets are welcome – save on kennel fees and keep Fido happy
· The best beaches are also the emptiest and perfect for summer barbeques
· Puffins, shearwaters, porpoises and dolphins abound
· The landscape is rich in history
